Dear Friends,
Salvation Story: While out picking up supplies for our church, I came to a store selling drinks. The man running the store asked if I had ever been to a village high school that was over four hours away in a remote village. He remembered a Mzungu (“white man”) coming to give a water-filtration system almost 10 years before. I was shocked that so many years later, and from such a remote place, he remembered. Yes, we had been there. I made a note to go back and share the Gospel with him. When I returned, the shop was closed for a funeral, but he was sitting outside the closed shop. What a blessing it was to lead this man to the Lord! Praise the Lord for the seeds He had planted many years earlier.
Building Faith: We praise the Lord for the continued progress on the second building of the Building Faith Project. The foundation is finished, and the walls have already begun going up. Please continue to pray for this much-needed building!
Special Days: In June, we held our annual Deaf Days. Our staff did a wonderful job with the activity on Saturday. On that day, 46 deaf individuals were in attendance. Thirty-two of them returned on Sunday for our services. We praise the Lord for the 8 who put their trust in Jesus during these special days. In the Sundays following this outreach, we have seen more people attending the weekly deaf ministry than usual. Help us pray that they would continue faithfully.
Crusade: Preparations are in full swing for the annual Tanzanian Stadium Crusade. The teams from the States have purchased their tickets, and we have begun advertising for the event here in Tanzania. Please put this event on your church’s prayer list to encourage people to pray for this exciting outreach. Please pray that many will come to hear a clear presentation of the Gospel and that many will accept Christ.
New Bible Club: In May, we saw the birth of a new Bible Cub. A faithful church member and his wife, whom I led to the Lord while out visiting over 10 years ago, came to me and expressed a desire to start a Bible Club in their neighborhood. The first week, over 50 kids came. Each week, dozens of children gather at their home to hear the lesson that they prepared, sing songs, and play games. Please pray for this couple as they continue to grow this Bible Club!
Men’s Meeting & Father’s Day: The Friday before Father's Day, we held a men’s meeting at our church. Over 80 men were in attendance, 5 trusted Christ, and 1 man was baptized.
