Dear Praying Friends,

We are so thankful for your continued prayers and support as we serve the Lord here. The past several weeks have been full, and we are grateful to report on how God has been working.

We recently had the joy of hosting my brother-in-law, Pastor Joseph Brown, and six of his children, who came all the way from Iowa to serve with us. They were a tremendous blessing, helping in singing, preaching, and reaching people with the Gospel. It was an encouragement to our church, but it was also an encouragement to see young people involved and serving.

Our Teen Rally was a special time. We had over 350 young people attend, and we are praying that the seeds planted will continue to grow. Seventy-five of those who attended filled out a decision card indicating that they had trusted Christ as their Saviour. Many of our church teens worked very hard to bring visitors for the rally. It is always a blessing to see teens gather around God’s Word, and we are asking the Lord to continue raising up a generation that will put Him first.

We also had a very special Wazee Day (“Elderly Sunday”). This was a meaningful time where we honored the older members of our church and celebrated their faithfulness to the Lord. As a small gift, we were able to give each of them an umbrella with our church logo, which was especially timely during this rainy season. It was a joy to show appreciation and remind them how much they are valued.

Shortly after, we held our Teen Camp with the theme “Neno Kwanza” (“God’s Word First”). We had 77 teens from both our English and Swahili ministries, and it was encouraging to see young people responding to the preaching and taking steps to grow spiritually. After many of the services, we had a question-and-answer time and were always blessed by the depth of their questions. We are especially thankful for Calvary Baptist Church in Canton, Illinois, for sending a team to help with Teen Camp and our Easter services. Please pray that the decisions made will last and that these young people will remain grounded in God’s Word.

On Easter Sunday, we had a large English service, as well as our normal Swahili services. We thank the Lord for a good attendance of over 800 and for the opportunity to clearly present the Gospel. It was a blessing to celebrate the resurrection of our Saviour together, and we are praying that those who heard will respond in faith. What a blessing it was to see 6 trust Christ and 4 take the step of baptism that Sunday! We also had a special time to share in the Lord’s Supper.

Thank you for standing with us.
