Dear Praying Friends,
What a wonderful few months God has given our church and family. We are thankful for the many ways the Lord continues to open doors and allow us to be a small part of His work here in Tanzania. We are excited to share a few of the things God has done.
Deaf Days:
We recently had a special Deaf Days outreach, and the Lord blessed in a wonderful way. On Saturday, we had 97 in attendance, and on Sunday, we had 87. Saturday included preaching, a special meal, and a soccer match. We are especially thankful that 20 people who trusted Christ as their Saviour during the meeting. This was a great encouragement to our church and a reminder that the Gospel is for everyone.
Bible Clubs:
We are excited that two new Bible Clubs have started, one in Chamwino and another in Mji Mwema. Both clubs had children trust Christ on their very first week. One of the greatest blessings is that both of these clubs began because church members came to me and shared the burden God had placed on their hearts to reach children in their areas. Please pray that many children will continue to hear the Gospel and that families will be reached through these ministries.
Ministry Three-Wheeler:
We are very excited about a new ministry tool that we will be using for our crusades and other outreach opportunities. It is a small, three-wheeled truck with a truck bed, and we have been fabricating a stand that will hold horn speakers and two large regular speakers. The plan is for this three-wheeler to travel through neighborhoods advertising our crusades and special meetings. We are praying that this tool will help spread the news quickly and effectively. This project has also been a special reminder of God’s provision. We never publicly mentioned the need, but God placed it on the heart of an individual who reached out and asked if there were any projects he could help with. I shared this need with him, and he then shared the burden with his church. They have already raised all that was needed for the project.
Youth Conference:
What a wonderful opportunity my two sons and I had to travel to California for North Valley Baptist Church’s Youth Conference. It was a blessing to share my heart for the next generation to surrender their lives to God and consider that He may desire them to be missionaries. Please pray for the many young people who made decisions.
Upcoming Crusades and Pastors’ Conference:
Please pray for two important upcoming events. We will be hosting our 1st Annual East Africa Pastors’ and Workers’ Conference, and we are asking God to use it to encourage and strengthen pastors, church workers, and ministry leaders from all over Africa. We are also preparing for four crusades in July in different locations. Please pray for this year’s Tanzanian Stadium Crusades. Pray for the planning, the preaching, the workers, and, most importantly, for souls to be saved and connected with our church where they can continue to grow.
