Dear Pastor and Friends,
Missions Mastermind: This past month, our family had the wonderful opportunity to travel to Thailand for a special missions event. We joined a group of missionaries from our mission agency for Missions Mastermind, a time designed for refreshment, fellowship, and sharing ideas to strengthen our work on the mission field. It was a blessing to hear Bro. Mark Bosje and Bro. John Wilkerson, who encouraged and challenged all of us. The ladies enjoyed a special time of spiritual renewal and fellowship, and our kids loved meeting and spending time with other missionary children. After the Missions Mastermind, we traveled to Hua Hin, where I had the privilege of preaching at the International Baptist Church with Bro. Matt Bosje. We were also able to spend a few days in Bangkok, enjoying some family vacation time and making wonderful memories together.
Visiting Group: What a blessing it was to host Rachel’s sister Rebecca, her husband (Pastor Tim Trieber), and their family, along with a group from Hillview Baptist Church, for a missions trip! Their team was busy with a variety of outreach ministries, including a Ladies’ Meeting, Bible Clubs, and a one-day Vacation Bible School. We saw many trust Christ at these events. Their visit was such an encouragement to us and a wonderful time of fellowship. Our kids absolutely loved having their cousins here, and it was so special for Rachel to share a bit of her life and ministry with her sister and family.
Ladies’ Meeting: We were thrilled to host a neighborhood Ladies’ Meeting, with over 60 women in attendance. It was a wonderful time of fellowship, singing, and hearing the Gospel clearly presented. Several ladies trusted Christ as their Saviour, and we praise the Lord for these decisions. The meeting was held in a predominantly Muslim neighborhood, yet the women were warm and receptive to the message. Some even came to church the next Sunday, and we are grateful for how God opened hearts and continues to work in this community.
Work Permits and Visas: We are rejoicing in a major answer to prayer, as we have finally received our exemption letter, along with both our permits and visas. This has been something we have been praying for over the past several years, and we are so thankful to the Lord for making it possible. His timing is always perfect, and we give Him all the glory for this wonderful provision in allowing us to remain in Tanzania.
