What a wonderful end we had to 2023! This year, we saw God’s hand of blessing on our lives and ministry. In all, we finished the year with 797 first-time visitors in our services and a total of 3,649 trusting Christ as their Saviour through the ministries. This year has been special because we saw more people trust Christ this year than in any other year.
Once again, we had our annual English Sunday School Christmas Program. The children from our English Sunday School prepared a program to present to the parents. The kids all did such a wonderful job, and it was heartwarming to see children of all different ages, ethnic backgrounds, and cultures from all over the world lifting their voices to celebrate the birth of Jesus!
Both of our boys had the opportunity to preach small sermons this past month. It was a first for Andrew, who brought a lesson in our boys’ character class, where the boys are trained on various points of Christian manhood and given the opportunity to preach. David was one of five young men who had the opportunity to preach to their peers, as well in our English Teen Sunday School Class. They all did a great job and studied well for their messages. Please pray for the next generation of young men who will rise up to carry the torch of the Gospel!
What a wonderful turnout we had for an evangelistic Ladies’ Meeting! Held at the home of one of our church members, we were blessed with 85 ladies in attendance, with many trusting Christ as their Saviour.
We had the wonderful opportunity to show the Jesus Film. I shared the Gospel in the middle of the film, as well as at the end. Many raised their hands to signify they had trusted Christ as their Saviour. We run a van to this particular village and have seen God continue to bless this outreach.
Since the Morrows are in the States for their furlough, there were areas of their ministries that needed to be covered. We were so blessed to be able to have Andrew and Mary Butler come for three months, followed by Allison Nicholson and Keren McCullough. These young people were such a tremendous blessing to us and our ministry, as they worked tirelessly to fill in the gaps in the ministry in the Morrows’ absence. Please pray for Montana and Kellie as they prepare to return to Tanzania in the second week of January.
We are looking forward to a wonderful year in 2024. We are expecting God to do mighty things once again through His work here in Tanzania. We are looking forward to hosting several groups from the States, as well as having many outreaches, special days, and events. The largest event on our 2024 calendar is the Tanzanian Stadium Crusade. Please be in prayer for these events!
Please also continue to pray for some of the paperwork we are processing for our radio and for the mission in the country. Since our last letter, we have seen God work, and we praise Him for His provision.
Serving the people of Tanzania,
Jerry & Rachel Wyatt
