March/April 2026

Dear Praying Friends,

We are grateful to the Lord for His continued work here in Tanzania. These past weeks have been full, encouraging, and humbling, as we have seen God open doors for the Gospel in many different settings.

Bible Clubs continue weekly across our city, led faithfully by members of our church. Through these clubs, hundreds of children are being reached regularly with the Word of God. Just a few weeks ago, we were blessed to help a young man, who was reached through the Bible Club ministry, start his own Bible Club. He had been asking for some time, but we wanted to make sure he was grounded and ready to lead his own club.

In January, I had the privilege of traveling to the Philippines, where I was able to visit and learn from Dr. Rick Martin, along with several other faithful servants. During this trip, the Lord opened doors to witness in a police station, where several prisoners trusted Christ as their Saviour. I also had the opportunity to preach in a sister church and ministry. I came home even more burdened for starting churches in Tanzania.

Back in Tanzania, ministry continues among several different groups. Each Thursday, I hold a Maasai Bible Study, where men gathered attentively to hear the Word taught. We also held a Ladies’ Meeting in the village of Misongeni in January, where 9 ladies trusted Christ as their Saviour. Following this meeting, several first-time visitors attended church the next Sunday, for which we thank the Lord. I also have a weekly Bible study with several men on Saturday evening.

While out on soul winning, the Lord allowed a me to share the Gospel with a woman working in her field, reminding us again that the harvest truly is plentiful. As Jesus said in John 4:35, “. . . Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.”

In addition to these outreaches, we were thankful to host a Marriage Seminar with 23 couples in attendance. It was a sweet time of teaching, encouragement, and strengthening homes according to Biblical principles. We are praying that the truths shared will continue to bear fruit in these marriages.

We are thankful for your faithful prayers and support. Please continue to pray for our Bible college as well. We started the new year with new students and are excited to see how God is already strengthening them for the ministry.

Your missionaries to Tanzania,

Jerry and Rachel Wyatt

Each morning, the teens attended training sessions, and each afternoon, they were sent out into different areas to put into practice what they learned by actively helping in Bible Clubs. This year, 40 of our teenagers enrolled in SMITE, and throughout the week, nearly 600 children attended the evening Bible Clubs. We also saw 207 children trust Christ throughout the week. We are especially grateful for Bro. Mark Holmes and his daughter Victoria for coming to assist, along with Pastor Adawela, who traveled from Nigeria to be a part of this ministry.

Vision Clinic:
We are praising the Lord for an incredible Vision Outreach in which around 2,000 people came to the church property to receive glasses, medication, or a vision checkup. Through our partnership with MMO, people were offered free vision care, and each individual was personally witnessed to by a member of our church. By God’s grace, more than 900 people trusted Christ during this outreach, not only receiving clearer physical sight but also gaining spiritual sight for eternity.

Insurance Sunday:
The Sunday following the medical clinic, we held what we call “Insurance Sunday,” where we drew names for 20 families to receive medical insurance coverage for an entire year. The selected families were required to return for several consecutive weeks to complete the sign up process, which allowed us to build relationships and continue ministering to them. We are encouraged to see lasting fruit from these outreaches, as we continue to follow up on those who attended.

Faithful Helpers:
We are very thankful for Dave and Rebecca Robbs, who came from our home church to fill in while the Morrows returned to the States for a brief visit. The Robbs sacrificially came with their three young children to help in many areas of the ministry and were a tremendous blessing through their involvement in Bible Clubs, English Sunday school classes, and various other needs. Though they have not been called into full time ministry, they willingly did what they could, and their servant hearts made a significant impact on the work here. We were also grateful to celebrate Thanksgiving together with them, and it was a truly wonderful time of fellowship and gratitude.

Looking Back, Moving Forward:
As we look back on the past year, our hearts are full of gratitude for all that the Lord has done. We thank God for His faithfulness, His provision, and the fruit we were able to see through the ministry. As we step into a new year, we look forward with anticipation to continuing to serve Him here in Tanzania, trusting Him to do even greater things for His glory.

Your representatives to Tanzania,

Jerry & Rachel Wyatt

	November/December 2025
Dear Pastor and Friends,

Missions Mastermind: This past month, our family had the wonderful opportunity to travel to Thailand for a special missions event. We joined a group of missionaries from our mission agency for Missions Mastermind, a time designed for refreshment, fellowship, and sharing ideas to strengthen our work on the mission field. It was a blessing to hear Bro. Mark Bosje and Bro. John Wilkerson, who encouraged and challenged all of us. The ladies enjoyed a special time of spiritual renewal and fellowship, and our kids loved meeting and spending time with other missionary children. After the Missions Mastermind, we traveled to Hua Hin, where I had the privilege of preaching at the International Baptist Church with Bro. Matt Bosje. We were also able to spend a few days in Bangkok, enjoying some family vacation time and making wonderful memories together.

Visiting Group: What a blessing it was to host Rachel’s sister Rebecca, her husband (Pastor Tim Trieber), and their family, along with a group from Hillview Baptist Church, for a missions trip! Their team was busy with a variety of outreach ministries, including a Ladies’ Meeting, Bible Clubs, and a one-day Vacation Bible School. We saw many trust Christ at these events. Their visit was such an encouragement to us and a wonderful time of fellowship. Our kids absolutely loved having their cousins here, and it was so special for Rachel to share a bit of her life and ministry with her sister and family.

Ladies’ Meeting: We were thrilled to host a neighborhood Ladies’ Meeting, with over 60 women in attendance. It was a wonderful time of fellowship, singing, and hearing the Gospel clearly presented. Several ladies trusted Christ as their Saviour, and we praise the Lord for these decisions. The meeting was held in a predominantly Muslim neighborhood, yet the women were warm and receptive to the message. Some even came to church the next Sunday, and we are grateful for how God opened hearts and continues to work in this community.

Work Permits and Visas: We are rejoicing in a major answer to prayer, as we have finally received our exemption letter, along with both our permits and visas. This has been something we have been praying for over the past several years, and we are so thankful to the Lord for making it possible. His timing is always perfect, and we give Him all the glory for this wonderful provision in allowing us to remain in Tanzania.

Your representatives to Tanzania,

Jerry & Rachel Wyatt

September/October 2025

Dear Pastor and Friends,

Amos’ Story: In our last prayer letter, we shared the wonderful story of Amos coming to Christ. We are thrilled to report that his zeal for the Lord has only grown since then. Amos has been faithfully leading his Saturday Bible Club, and recently, he accepted the call to begin a new van route in his neighborhood. Every week, he gathers children and teens, bringing them to church so they, too, can hear the Gospel. What a joy it is to see a young man so quickly take ownership in ministry! Please continue to pray that his fire for the Lord will not fade and that he would grow in wisdom and consistency. Pray also that many souls will come to Christ through this new route. We have seen how God has used the bus ministry here in Tanzania in a powerful way, with hundreds riding the buses every week. Amos’ story is just one more reminder that this ministry is worth every effort.

Visiting Groups: We were blessed to host two groups recently: Marion Avenue Baptist Church and Sun Valley Baptist Church. Their presence was a great encouragement to our people and to our family as well. Together we were able to participate in many different outreaches: soccer service, sharing the Gospel door to door, serving in children’s programs, and helping in a village church. Their energy and willingness to jump in wherever needed left a lasting impact. Please pray that the seeds planted through these outreaches will continue to bear fruit in the months to come.

Crusade in Dar es Salaam: We held our very first crusade in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania’s largest city. What a joy it was to see the Lord move in such a mighty way! During the event, 228 people trusted Christ as their Saviour. This was an answer to much prayer. Please continue to pray for these new believers, as a local church there is following up on them.

Soccer Service: We also held a special soccer-outreach service that brought over 800 people onto the church property. Entire soccer teams came, eager to receive a soccer ball and pump, but more importantly, they heard a clear message of the Gospel. By the end of the service, 32 individuals had trusted Christ! It was exciting to see how God used something as simple as soccer to draw young men and their friends to hear the Word of God. Please pray for continued opportunities to reach this next generation of Tanzanians through sports and other creative outreaches.

Work Permits and Visas: We are still in need of God’s intervention in the area of work permits and visas. This remains one of the greatest challenges for missionaries here, and it affects our ability to remain and serve long-term. Please continue to pray with us that the right doors will be opened and that everything will be approved in God’s timing.

Your representatives to Tanzania,

Jerry & Rachel Wyatt

Life has been hard for Amos—his father was abusive and eventually kicked him out, and he doesn’t know who his mother is. He now lives with a kind family who has taken him in and is caring for him.

After a few visits to Bible Club and church, David shared the Gospel with him, and Amos joyfully accepted Christ. The following week, I had the privilege of baptizing him.

Immediately after his salvation, Amos asked for some John and Romans booklets to take to school. In his public school religion class, he stood up and boldly shared the Gospel—over 40 classmates trusted Christ! Later, he told me he had begun meeting with neighborhood kids in the evenings to teach them the Bible. We helped him start a Bible Club at his house, and 26 children came the first week.

While planning our Youth Rally, I appointed several teens as team captains and encouraged each one to try to bring 10 visitors. Amos overheard the meeting, came up to me afterward, and said, “I’m not a captain, but I think I could bring a lot.” I told him, “Then I’ll make you a captain—just do your best.” He brought over 40 teens to the conference! What a blessing it is to see this young man on fire for the Lord.

Visiting Group:
We were blessed and encouraged to host a group from Lewis Avenue Baptist Church with Pastor Steve Hobbins. A wonderful group of young people came to serve alongside us, and we were uplifted by their sweet and humble spirits. It was especially meaningful to reconnect with a couple of the group leaders—friends I had attended college with. Over two decades have passed since our college days, and it was encouraging to see them still faithfully serving the Lord.

Youth Rally:
While the group from Lewis Avenue was with us, we held a Youth Rally. I was so encouraged by our young people as they invited friends, neighbors, and classmates. What a joy it was to see over 300 teens attend the rally, with 13 trusting Christ for salvation! Bro. Hobbins preached a powerful message on how the Devil lies to young people.

Crusade:
Please continue praying for our very first Crusade in Dar es Salaam, a city about four hours from Morogoro and the working capital of Tanzania. Dar es Salaam—with a population of over 8.5 million people—is in great need of the Gospel. Pray that all of the details will come together smoothly and that the Gospel will have a great impact.

Work Permits and Visa:
Our greatest prayer request at this time is for our work permits. We are currently seeking an exemption that would allow us to continue serving in Tanzania. Please pray that we would find favor with the authorities involved and that approval would be granted quickly.

Your representatives to Tanzania,
Jerry & Rachel Wyatt

This beautiful space includes classrooms, a nursery, a kitchen, and office areas. We are truly grateful for how the Lord has provided every step of the way, and we’re excited to see how He will use this new facility to further His work. Please continue to pray with us that this building will be a place where lives are touched and the Gospel is shared.

Teen Camp: Teen Camp this year was a powerful and unforgettable time, with over 60 teens from both our Swahili and English ministries coming together under the theme “Golden Disciples,” drawn from the truth of coming forth as gold through trials. God truly did a mighty work in hearts, and we rejoice in the many spiritual decisions that were made throughout the week. We are especially thankful for the team from Victory in Grace Baptist Church in Iowa, whose partnership was a tremendous blessing in helping us run the camp. Please continue to pray for these teens as they grow in their walk with the Lord and seek to live as true disciples for His glory.

Easter: We had a wonderful Resurrection Sunday, beginning with a special English service, which was well attended, as we reflected on the power of the risen Christ. Following that, our Swahili services continued the celebration, with hearts stirred by the message that “The Resurrection Changes Everything.” It was a blessing to see over 700 people, across the different services, gathered together and united in praising our Saviour.

Soul-Winning Story: While I was in Dar es Salaam, I needed to go to a store, so I used an app to call a Bajaji (“three-wheeled taxi”). On the way there, the Lord pricked my heart to witness to the driver. When we arrived at the store, he was still not ready to make a decision, so I told him to think on it, and when I returned, we would talk more. On our trip home, I continued to share the Gospel with him. Once we arrived back, I asked him again, and this time he was ready to accept Christ as his Saviour. Praise the Lord!

Permits: Please be in prayer with us, as we have submitted our applications for work permits and resident visas. These permits are essential for us to remain in Tanzania and continue the ministry. We are trusting the Lord for His perfect timing and provision, and we appreciate your prayers for favor and a smooth approval process.

Your missionaries to Tanzania,

Jerry & Rachel Wyatt

I told them we would start the pump but mentioned that I would like to share some John and Romans booklets from our church with them. As we talked, I asked them about their thoughts on eternity. They said they believed they would go to Heaven because of their good works. This opened the door for me to share the wonderful news of the Gospel and explain how they could receive the Living Water, Who would satisfy their spiritual thirst forever. As I shared the Gospel with the women, it reminded me so much of the story of the “Woman at the Well” in John 4. At one point, I almost jokingly said, “Go call your husband,” but decided that might not be best.

After presenting the Gospel, I turned to John 4, shared the story, and pointed out the parallels. I explained how Jesus offered Living Water to the woman at the well and that the same offer was available to them. By God’s grace, all three bowed their heads and received salvation. Before they left, I encouraged them to share their new faith with others, just as the woman in the Bible had done after encountering Jesus. It was such a blessing to witness their decisions and to remind them of the joy of telling others about Him.

Bus: We are so thankful to the Lord for blessing our ministry with a bus! It was imported directly from Japan and is in excellent condition. This will be an incredible resource for transporting people to church and supporting various ministry activities. So that I can drive the bus, I had to get the equivalent of a CDL. That meant that I had to go to driving school. Thankfully, I was able to go early and train in our bus on my own schedule. What a blessing it was to be able to lead my teacher to the Lord during one of the days we were out driving. I was so blessed when he came on Sunday as well.

Radio: What a blessing it was to hear one of our radio staff share a testimony about a listener who called in and asked about salvation. They said, “I am just calling because I do not understand eternal life at all.” Our staff member was able to share a clear presentation of the Gospel over the phone, and the caller was able to trust Christ as their Saviour. We are working to produce more Gospel presentations. Throughout our programming schedule, we have presentations of the Gospel from different staff members. We want to be sure that if someone faithfully listens to Voice of Life Radio, they will hear the Gospel many times a day.

Building Faith: We praise the Lord for continuing to allow us to move forward with construction. Lord willing, we will be able to move in by Easter Sunday. Please help us continue to pray that all will go smoothly and that we will be able to meet our goal.

Work Permits: In the month of April, we will be submitting the paperwork for our work permits to allow us to continue serving the Lord here in Tanzania. Please pray that this process will go smoothly.

Your missionaries to Tanzania,

Jerry & Rachel Wyatt

Although we originally planned to hold it in Dar es Salaam, the Lord closed that door. Instead, we focused on Morogoro, holding one main crusade on Saturday and two smaller crusades in nearby villages on Monday and Tuesday. The Lord blessed the main crusade on Saturday with over 3,500 in attendance, and 821 people turned in decision cards, indicating they had trusted Christ as their Saviour. We were honored to have Olympic legend John Stephen Akhwari with us as our special guest. He was an encouragement and inspiration to us all to “keep running the race.”

Soccer Sunday: The day after our Saturday crusade was Soccer Sunday. This is always an exciting day, as scores of teenage boys and men come with their soccer teams to receive a soccer ball. This Sunday, there were over 1,200 in attendance, with 120 trusting Christ.

Village Crusades: For the first time this year, we held two smaller crusades in villages. The first was in the village of Kiloka, located behind the mountains that surround our city.

Unbeknownst to us, before we arrived, the village soccer team scheduled to play the Pensacola soccer team had performed witchcraft rituals on the field to curse the church team and give power to their village team. During halftime, as we always do, I preached the Gospel message. We raised a large wooden cross in the center of the field, and I preached about the power of the blood of Jesus Christ. After losing the game 3-0, a member of the village team told one of our church men, “Your God was stronger than ours. We lost because you brought the cross.” Nearly 2,000 people heard the Gospel message, and we praise the Lord that, through the power of the Cross of Christ, 245 people turned in decision cards, indicating they had trusted in Jesus as their Savior during this village crusade.

The following day, we held another village crusade in Misongeni. Again, there was a tremendous turnout, and the Lord moved mightily. In this village, 1,358 people attended the crusade, with 172 trusting Christ.

All in all, during the 4 days of soccer outreach, over 8,000 people heard a clear presentation of the Gospel, and 1,358 trusted Christ as their personal Saviour. There is power in the blood! We are so thankful to Marion Avenue Baptist Church for helping to host these events and to Pensacola Christian College’s men’s soccer team for coming to play in these crusades!

Building Faith:
Please continue to pray for the second stage of our Building Faith project. The foundation has been laid, the walls have been erected, and the roof is ready to be installed. We are in desperate need of these classrooms and space, and we are praying that God will allow the building process to continue moving along quickly and smoothly.

Your representatives to Tanzania,

Jerry & Rachel Wyatt

Dear Friends,

Salvation Story: While out picking up supplies for our church, I came to a store selling drinks. The man running the store asked if I had ever been to a village high school that was over four hours away in a remote village. He remembered a Mzungu (“white man”) coming to give a water-filtration system almost 10 years before. I was shocked that so many years later, and from such a remote place, he remembered. Yes, we had been there. I made a note to go back and share the Gospel with him. When I returned, the shop was closed for a funeral, but he was sitting outside the closed shop. What a blessing it was to lead this man to the Lord! Praise the Lord for the seeds He had planted many years earlier.

Building Faith: We praise the Lord for the continued progress on the second building of the Building Faith Project. The foundation is finished, and the walls have already begun going up. Please continue to pray for this much-needed building!

Special Days: In June, we held our annual Deaf Days. Our staff did a wonderful job with the activity on Saturday. On that day, 46 deaf individuals were in attendance. Thirty-two of them returned on Sunday for our services. We praise the Lord for the 8 who put their trust in Jesus during these special days. In the Sundays following this outreach, we have seen more people attending the weekly deaf ministry than usual. Help us pray that they would continue faithfully.

Crusade: Preparations are in full swing for the annual Tanzanian Stadium Crusade. The teams from the States have purchased their tickets, and we have begun advertising for the event here in Tanzania. Please put this event on your church’s prayer list to encourage people to pray for this exciting outreach. Please pray that many will come to hear a clear presentation of the Gospel and that many will accept Christ.

New Bible Club: In May, we saw the birth of a new Bible Cub. A faithful church member and his wife, whom I led to the Lord while out visiting over 10 years ago, came to me and expressed a desire to start a Bible Club in their neighborhood. The first week, over 50 kids came. Each week, dozens of children gather at their home to hear the lesson that they prepared, sing songs, and play games. Please pray for this couple as they continue to grow this Bible Club!

Men’s Meeting & Father’s Day: The Friday before Father's Day, we held a men’s meeting at our church. Over 80 men were in attendance, 5 trusted Christ, and 1 man was baptized.

Your representatives to Tanzania,

Jerry & Rachel Wyatt

Of course, I said, “Yes.” It was early Saturday morning and a few minutes until we started our boys’ character class, which I teach every week. When it was time to start, all the boys, along with Joel, came into class. This particular week, I was teaching the boys about being a Gospel witness. I went through the plan of salvation while explaining different details that they should remember. At the end, I had each of the boys partner up with each other to practice witnessing. When class was finished, Derik raised his hand and shared with us that Joel had trusted Christ “for real.” What an amazing divine appointment!

Camp: What a wonderful Teen Camp we had this year! With over 60 campers from our Swahili and English ministries, the spirit was excellent. Our theme was “Go Light Your World,” and we encouraged the teenagers to be a light in this dark world. Please pray that these teenagers will follow through with the many decisions that they made during camp.

Easter: Our Easter services started with the annual English Easter Service. This is always a special time for the English-speaking community in our city. The Swahili services followed. What a blessing to worship our risen Saviour together! We were blessed to see 7 baptized in the services as well.

Building Faith: Construction continues to move forward with Building Faith, Stage 2. We have just about finished the foundation. It is the rainy season here, so the building process has been slowed a bit, and it can be challenging to move forward. Please continue to pray that all will go smoothly.

Special Days: In April, we held “Elderly Sunday.” Elderly people are greatly respected here in Tanzania, and it was a blessing to see the building full, with extra chairs needing to be set out as people brought their parents and grandparents to be honored on this Sunday. Special gifts and honor were given to the 83 elderly who attended the services.

Upcoming Crusade: Please begin to help us pray for the annual Tanzanian Stadium Crusade here in Morogoro. Pray for people to attend, and pray that they would come with hearts ready to receive the Gospel. Pray for the groups from the States who will be coming to help us run the crusade. We can see the Devil fighting, but we know that, with the prayers of God’s people, God will receive great glory from this event.

Special Prayer Request: The time has come again for us to renew our visas allowing us to remain in the country. Please pray for this process, as it has been a challenge in the past. We are trusting that God will open the door for our visa to be renewed without issue, and we appreciate your prayers in this matter.

Your representatives to Tanzania,

Jerry & Rachel Wyatt
