Maasai Bible Study:
At the beginning of the year, I began a Maasai Bible Study. We are currently meeting under a tree; but each week, men attend, and many have been saved. We have seen a total of 83 Maasai men trust Christ since we started this Bible study. One week, I was teaching on baptism. I was explaining that one can get saved anywhere, but to be baptized, you must be somewhere with deep water. I told them that at our church, we have a baptistery. One of the Maasai warriors raised his hand and said, “Well, can we go there now?! I want to be baptized now!” I quickly flipped to the passage of the Ethiopian Eunuch and told them that they only must first believe. He and two others confirmed that they had already put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ, and they were ready to be baptized right then! After the Bible study finished, we drove across town to our church. What a joy it was to baptize these three men in the middle of the week because they wanted to follow the commandment of the Lord right away!
Teen Camp:
Teen Camp was an incredible experience, with many of our teenagers in attendance, including a considerable number from our English Ministry. The camp was an opportunity for the teenagers to connect, learn, and grow in their faith. During the camp, we witnessed several young people making life-changing decisions for Christ. It was amazing to see the teenagers come together to worship, pray, and learn from the Bible, while enjoying fun activities such as swimming, competitions, and games. The impact of Teen Camp will undoubtedly be felt for many years to come as we continue to see the fruits of the seeds planted during this week.
Easter:
Easter is always a special time for our church. Each year, we have an English Easter service for the English-speaking community, followed by our Swahili service afterwards. What a blessing it was to celebrate the risen Saviour together!
Special Days:
Please be in prayer for the many different outreaches and special days that will be taking place this summer. We have two different medical weeks, Insurance Sunday, and our annual Stadium Crusade, as well as several other big days. We need God’s hand of blessing on these events!
